The Johanniter daycare center (Kita) “Wasserflöhe” is a new build on the Bundeswehr hospital campus in Berlin-Mitte and is the first Kita to be operated in house for the Johanniter. The 800 m² floor plan provides childcare for hospital employees, members of the armed forces and others.

The design by GKK & Partner focuses on the interconnectivity of the spaces- blurring the boundaries between interior and exterior and creating sight lines between spaces within the Kita, helping the children to move freely during their day.
