I'm Joe Clark. I photograph architecture and interiors for practices, developers, and designers across Europe, from Berlin.
Process
A typical commission begins with a briefing: site plans, renderings, a shot list or an open brief, and a conversation about timing and light. I typically work on site for one or two days, shooting tethered when collaboration is needed, working solo when speed and instinct serve the project better.
A proofing gallery follows for client-guided image selection, then in-house post-production through to final delivery. Every image passes through my hands. I don't outsource retouching. A typical deliverable is ten to thirty final images depending on project scope.
Stakeholders
Architectural projects often serve more than one client. A single commission can be structured to meet the needs of the architect, the developer, the interior designer, and any other stakeholders involved. I manage these joint briefs routinely, ensuring every party gets what they need from the shoot.
Approach
My fine art background shapes how I work as a photographer: I know how to read creative intent and translate it into images that honour it - and that work hard wherever they're used.
