I'm Joe Clark, a Berlin-based photographer working with galleries, artists, and institutions. I bring an architectural photographer's spatial precision into gallery environments, knowing that the images I make will travel further than the work itself.

What the service covers
Installation views and exhibition documentation. Installation views are made to show the work at its best and tell the story of the show as a coherent whole, whatever the constraints of the space. Mixed lighting is handled gracefully resulting in true neutrals and accurate colour reproduction.
Art fair booth photography. Fast-turnaround. Proofing is streamlined with an online proofing gallery, followed directly by post-production and delivery. The process runs efficiently from the first email.
Artwork reproduction. Colour-accurate reproduction of paintings, prints, drawings, and sculpture. Difficult surfaces and materials are part of the everyday work, and specialist techniques are deployed when the job requires it. Primarily a location service, though small works can be accommodated at my home studio in Berlin.

What makes the work different
I understand that documentation is the primary way many people will experience an exhibition or an artwork. That awareness shapes every decision: I'm helping to create the canonical view of the work.
I've worked with galleries, artists, and institutions for over fifteen years, and have been based in Berlin since 2014. The technical bar is rightly high for this kind of work. Colour accuracy matters, spatial truth matters. But absolute technical accuracy does not always mean emotional truth. The images have to feel right as well as measure right. I understand how to balance these positions when they pull against each other.
Rates
Pricing
Installation and booth photography starts at a base price of €160 for the first three images, with additional images at €37.50 each. Usage rights are included. The same pricing model applies whether you need three images from a single booth or a full exhibition edit.
Artwork reproduction and larger documentation projects are quoted per project. Get in touch with details and I'll provide a clear estimate.
